Are these calculators really free?
Yes. Every calculator on BlueprintCost is free to use, with no sign-up and no email required.
How accurate are the cost estimates?
Estimates use 2026 national average material and labor prices, adjusted with a cost index for each state. They are designed for budgeting and comparing quotes. Local prices, site conditions and contractor rates can move the real number up or down.
Where do the prices come from?
We compile current retail material prices, published contractor cost guides and industry pricing, then apply a regional construction cost index. See our methodology page for details.
Can I share or save my results?
